Mediation (in person or by Zoom)
Joe mediates conflicts. He helps others find solutions that honors each person involved. His style is best suited where the parties are motivated by the highest interests of all involved. Often the parties in conflict have an ongoing relationship.
Joe’s mediation practice is present based and focuses on the conflicted parties’ needs. We often can get caught in the hurt from the past, or fear of the future.

Attorney – Legal Services
As an attorney with an MBA, Joe has been practicing law in California since 1990, both with Valle Makoff LLP, where he is Of Counsel, and as a solo practitioner. He is most often working on cases and proceedings in the Probate Department of the Superior Court. Contacting Joe does not create an attorney-client relationship. So, you should not share any confidential information, until after Joe has agreed and has checked to make sure that he has no significant conflict of interest.
Education
Joe received his J.D. in 1990 from the Loyola Law School in Los Angeles, receiving the American Jurisprudence Awards in Property and Insurance Law and obtaining an Editorship of the Loyola Law Review. Joe earned an M.B.A. in 1986 from the University of California at Berkeley (“Hass School of Business”), during which he was selected and served as a Washington Campus scholar in the District of Columbia and an International Exchange Program scholar at the London Business School. Joe received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1982 from the University of California at Los Angeles with majors in Ecosystems and Economics.
